We acknowledged the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities for 2024 with our Through the Roof Inclusive Youth Arts Festival 2024 at the Aotea Centre in Auckland. This year it was a two-day festival featuring Arts workshops, performances, and a glitzy film premiere event.

Friday 29th Nov was Creative Day!

We all learned new skills in the performing arts with accessible music, dance, visual arts and circus workshops, a sensory journey and a special screening room that showed a selection of our youth films. It was a magical day of learning and all for free.

Saturday 30th Nov was Show Day!

On Saturday, we celebrated the unique and diverse talents of the artists from Glass Ceiling Arts Collective’s youth programmes.

First we were wowed by live performances and then we all enjoyed watching the short films made by our tamariki and rangatahi during the year. The day was topped off with photos on the glitzy red carpet and a disco!
